Sambhar Lake is situated 80 Kms away from Jaipur and this lake is the biggest inline salt lake of India. As per the schedule, you will be picked up from Jaipur Hotel or Airport or Railway Station and then drive towards Sambhar Lake.
Visit the Sambhar Lake which is filled by these six river waters- Mantha, Samod, Medhtha, Khari and Khandela. A dam is also built where the gates are opened when the water crosses the level. Salt is produced in large amounts. Being a home to the huge number of winged animals, the lake looks splendid and it's worth visiting it once in a lifetime.
Also visit the Shakambari Mata Temple and offer your prayers. Food offered here by locals is considered as Prasad by Mata Shakambhari who is the carrier of greens.
